Do you remember the storefront window painting show i did last summer? well, this kind of tecnic can`t stay long, it was only for the show and has been replaced; the owner requested me to make the same illustration but in adhesive vinyl, so i designed it, is not exactly the same and thats what i did. It was placed the last week and i decided to make a visit to see how it looks my work and share it with you.

HERITAGE, painting decoration in the salon

A client request me to make a painting in the saloon using my artwork style, she wanted to me draw some elements that represent barcelona, like the lamppost, the leaves for ex.



This painting project was made possible with the contribution of Karen Gomez, great artist with good manage of brushes.


Once she painted the frame I went to the salon to place it and paint the complete piece.

[ESP]Es un concurso de carteles que convocan cada año en Grecia, el tema este año es "etiqueta" y se tiene que presentar en un formato especial alargado...como un kakemono.
Una etiqueta es un identificador de algo o de un contenido. Etiquetar quiere decir nombrar. Es el instinto humano por agrupar, categorizar con caracteristicas que tienen similitud y se nombra como un todo. Vivimos en un mundo lleno de etiquetas. Hay etiquetas asociadas con el consumo de productos o con moda. La gente se etiqueta entre ellos mismos para darle sentido a un grupo, pero tambien se etiqueta gente solo por racismo, xenofobia, discriminacion politica y religiosa, etc. ¿Cual es de rol de las etiquetas en tu vida? ¿como puede una etiqueta describir el mundo en el que vives? ¿puede una etiqueta dar un infinito numero de experiencias, sentimientos y deseos que se resuman en cada ser humano?

Esta vez trabajé en grupo con mi novia (tambien diseñadora) para desarrollar la idea, el concepto y el diseño del poster.

[ENG]This is a Greek poster competition and the theme this year is "Label". and we have to design this theme on special format...like a kakemono.

A label is any kind of tag attached to something so as to identify the object or its content. Labeling means naming. It is human instinct to group things with what they are most similar and name them as a whole. We live in a world filled with labels antagonising each other to win our preference. There are labels associated with consumer products and fashion. People voluntarily label themselves in order to have a sense of belonging to a group, but there also labels that people use to categorize others stemming from feelings of racism and xenophobia, political and religious discrimination, etc. What is the role of these labels in your life? How can a label describe the world you live in? Can a label give the infinite set of experiences, beliefs and desires that summarise each human being?

This time i worked with my girlfriend (she also designer) to develope the idea, concept and design the posters.

My new Colissimo holiday package illustration

France postal service decided to make a new design which will be sold in all postal offices and used by the whole French population in 2010 for every holiday!

I wanted to describe that moment when you receive a package, that surprise when the postman comes to you or your place. In the begining i thought to draw the typical monuments of the world in my own style, but i think is the topic, so i wanted to illustrate moments in some cities on the world. For ex: to represent France i drawed a girl riding bike, is the idea i had from paris; Italy...the typical Vespa bike, australia with the surfing people etc...

Dazed decade draw out 2009

Dazed & confused editorial called out all the illustrators to have a go at drawing ten of Dazed's best covers from the decade. they selected ten of their favorites covers of the past decade and we have to illustrate each one in our own way.
the prize will be commissioned for a piece of work to appear in a future issue of Dazed. i decided to draw the cover 2007, i wanted to show a diferent nature around Kate.
So this is my cover, this is my illustration, hope you an they like it.

Experimentando en el metro

A veces me gustaria ver como reaccionarian los viajeros del metro cuando se encuentran este tipo de carteles "informativos", ahora estoy en el nivel cobarde de arriesgarme a poner estas señales in situ, pero poco a poco ire teniendo confianza para hacerlo, a lo mejor. En mi mundo imaginario tengo una idea de como seria la reaccion, lo maximo que puedo hacer ahora es ilustrarles una idea de como quedaria. Talvez un finde lo haga. esto es en toda regla una "declaracion de intenciones" jeje
